Letter: Is there sedition in the White House?

September 17, 2018

The New York Times has published an op-ed from an unknown supposed high-ranking Trump administration official who stated that there is a secret resistance effort against our president to remove him from office.

The fact that the New York Times would have the audacity to print such an op-ed without putting a name on it makes me think they are in collusion with the writer to undermine the President of the United States and his administration. I would say this makes them guilty of sedition and an enemy of the state by conspiring and colluding to destroy our democracy.

Trump supporters in the news media called for the gutless author to come forth if he or she was in the administration. After giving it some thought, I wondered if someone like a Democrat or a cunning nut job who had the wherewithal to instill fear and promote distrust in the administration wrote the op-ed. People on the internet make up outlandish stories and false accusations every day so, it’s not a stretch to think the article came from somewhere else.

What really matters now is finding out who sent in the article and holding them accountable. If by chance there is a group, then they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
