2 women killed in 3 vehicle crash in Alabama
CLANTON, Ala. (AP) — Two women have died in a three-vehicle crash in Alabama.
Alabama State Trooper Jess Thornton said in a news release the wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 31 about two miles (3 kilometers) south of Clanton.
Thornton said the victims were 46-year-old Marjorie Beck Butler and 62-year-old Rhonda Renee Vickers, both of Anniston.
Thornton said the victims were in a sports utility vehicle driven by Butler that side-swiped one tractor-trailer before colliding with another tractor-trailer.
The truck drivers were not hurt.
