LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) — Top-ranked Duke meets number-eight Auburn in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational today in Hawaii. The Blue Devils breezed through their opener in the tournament yesterday, blowing out San Diego State 90-64. Duke is 16-and-0 all-time in Maui.
LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) — After a win over Illinois in their opener at the Maui Invitational, third-ranked Gonzaga meets Arizona today in a semifinal. Gonzaga overcame 22 turnovers against Illinois by shooting 52 percent. Arizona rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit against Iowa State.
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Tonight’s NBA schedule includes a matchup of division leaders from the Eastern Conference. The Toronto Raptors bring the league’s best record, 13-and-4, into the game in Orlando against the Magic -- a team that’s won seven of its last nine games.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — There’s just one game scheduled in the NHL this evening -- with the Edmonton Oilers in San Jose to take on the Sharks. San Jose is coming off of a 4-0 shutout of the St. Louis Blues Saturday night.
LONDON (AP) — British sprinter Nigel Levine, who has won world and European championship medals, has been banned for four years for doping. The U.K. Anti-Doping agency says Levine tested positive in an out-of-competition test last year for the banned substance clenbuterol, which can be used to burn fat.
