Police: Two Raleigh rape cases could be connected
Investigators with the Raleigh Police Department are looking into the possibility that two rapes could be connected.
The first assault was in November 2018 on Beacon Village Drive in Raleigh. A woman said a man in a dark hooded sweatshirt broke into her house through a rear sliding glass door.
The woman armed herself with a twirling baton but was unable to get away. She said the man pushed her into a spare bedroom and raped her.
The man then made her clean herself before he ran away.
Last month, another woman in an apartment off North Hills Drive in Raleigh was also raped.
